Step 3- Start your designs- this can be as conservative or crazy as you like- the sky is the limit, however your recycled fashion does have to be in dress code. Look on Pinterest, google etc... you will find millions of ideas to help get you started.
Step 4- Submit your design blueprint. This needs to be a sketch of your design and what supplies that you used and where. This really helps give the judges a better insight to your design. This is due Wednesday April 8th, 2015 room 11. This is an example-
Step 5- Your design that you will be wearing in the show is due Thursday April 9, 2015- we will be setting these up so that the judges can pre- judge and see your work up-close and personal. When you are on stage, sometimes it is hard to see all the detail. We want to ensure that all work is judges for the entirety of the piece.
Step 6- We need art submissions- this area is very open as students can make a sculpture, picture, really anything that uses recycled or repurposed materials. Students may enter both categories, or just one. Recycled Art Definition:
Submitted work may be reasonably considered “recycled art” if it is entirely, or primarily (at least 75%), composed of material(s) that would have otherwise been disposed into the waste streams. The jury will focus attention on craftsmanship, materials use and creativity. The recycled Art Submission will be due Thursday April 9 room 11. Winners will be allowed to showcase their work at the Temecula Recycling Fashion Show and possibly other art shows in the area.
Application for the Art portion of the Show-
